BB10 - Brainstorming

With the recent leak of the upcoming BB10 devices and the hints from the BlackBerry supremo at a different type of experience has got me thinking. Bare with me but I think this would be a pretty cool...

10" to 15" Extended Screen to use over bridge, HDMI or docking to allow BB10 to eliminate the use of laptops for the travelling rep or executive. This screen could be packed with a surface like touch pad keyboard and not nessecarily require any processing power or memory, could have a large battery and signal booster to charge the phone whilst docked to the display.

With phones trending towards 4 or 8 core processors it seems as though there is a lot of redundant ability to process tasks. With QNX's ability to perform silky smooth multitasking and being backed up by a beefy up spec flagship phone from BlackBerry this is how it all works in my head... :-)

Whilst connected the phone could function as normal but the extended display be showing apps such as Office, Web applications or a company intranet. These apps could be running in the background on the phone but only access able / shown on the extended monitor when connected. All data would be saved to the phone so once disconnected the screen holds no information which would be good for security etc similar to how bridge was originally marketed. Once disconnected the information and apps could be access on the phone for quick reference on the move. Phone could even be dimmed down to 4 or 2 active cores whilst disconnected for better power management.

Anyways that's my BB10 brainstorm...
