There have been many threads that have covered the issue of the 30-day limit for "sync timeframe" on Blackberry 10 for Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) and IMAP email account types.
As many of you know, OS version 10.1 (shipping now on the new Q10 model, to be available for the Z10 within weeks depending on carrier) eliminates this limit for EAS accounts, but not for IMAP accounts.
Up until now I hadn't seen any specific references to changes for non-EAS accounts, but just discovered that Michael Clewley (Director, Handheld Software Product Management at RIM/Blackberry) had sent out a tweet on 4/21 that addressed this:

ActiveSync will be forever, IMAP 90 days. POP and IMAP will get forever in a summer update
