Accidental MASS email deletion on BB10

The girlfriend came home tonight really upset that almost everything from her hub was gone, emails, call logs, texts etc. gone gone gone. Because of the settings on her Gmail thankfully some was salvageable from a PC. On trawling through the forums I came across an issue that some might have had, and to me its quite alarming.

For me, due to the number of notifications I get daily, I have turned OFF the delete confirmation pop up, some I realise will leave this on. This is where the issue kinda starts.

While reading the threads it became apparent that when selecting a notification for deletion, you touch, hold and wait for the bin icon to appear, or on the Q, touch to highlight then press delete button. HOWEVER, if instead of the top notification, you hit the date bar, its all very different. The bin icon will appear, but instead of DELETE, it means DELETE PRIOR, which will delete everything in the hum prior to the date you pressed.
You will however get a pop up saying the action cannot be undone. For me that would highlight something was wrong as I turned pop ups off, but for anyone who still uses the confirm deletion pop up, it would have become second nature to just press OK.

In not sure if this date bar selection has always been possible, nor if there is a glitch at the moment causing it to be selected along with the last notification, but its quite worrying how simple it is to delete everything from the hub, forever.
Surely a mass delete should not have the same icon, or should be harder to implement, than a simple process like this.
