BlackBerry 10 still going strong, expected to ship 14 million devices this year
Don't bother reading this article, the title tells it all. So where do these analyst get these figures, out of a hat a random guess
or pure speculation. Lets just do some basic math. production supply line checks of the z10 from launch was 2 million units per month.
These numbers where further revised in May putting production of the Z and Q at a three to one ratio, using June stated production of 1,000.000 Z and Q
that 3,000,000 Q10's which makes sense when you consider they need to get a good supply in the chain for launch.
All of this information has been floating around these forum for month's, with article's referencing well known BlackBerry suppliers.
So if the supply side is stating they estimate total supply at about 30,000,000 units and probably more because they are not including anticipated demand for the Q5 ,
where do these guys get there facts,
So here is my simple math 2x4 for the Z10 =Feb to May=8,000,000 Zed's manufactured. 3x1 for the Q10=May=3,000,000 units,
1x1 for the Zed=May=1,000,000 units. 7x1 for Q and Zed=June thru Dec= 14,000,000 units. Feb thru Dec total BB10 units manufactured=26,000,000 unit.
I have no information on Q5 or any other BB10 devices, these numbers are fact and have been commented on before.
So I ask where are these analyst getting there fact's are BlackBerry's suppliers storing these phone's in caves or are they shipping them?
