Doesn't toast notifications kind of defeat Peak??

Hi I've been reading around CB for years but this is my first post. Don't know if it's in the right section, but I had a question (that rhymed :D) Doesn't toast notifications defeat the purpose of Peak? If we can see and answer our messages from a toast why would you ever use the Peak function I've so come to love!? Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to get my hands on that buttery toast goodness in 10.2. Just a question.
