Hotspot during roaming 10.3.3 vs 10.2.2

$

Has anyone been able to successfully create a mobile hotspot while in roaming on 10.3.3?

I have two SIM cards from two different providers from two different countries and the results are mixed, with SIM1 I can create a mobile hotspot when in roaming on 10.2.2., with SIM2 it won't allow me.

On 10.3.3. it doesn't allow me regardless of which SIM I use and to which roaming partner I connect.

When I put SIM2 into an Android phone there's no problem and I don't see the dreaded message telling me it's restricted by the carrier.

What I can't figure out is why on 10.2.2 it works with one of the SIMs but not the other :/

Remember can sync to Outlook

Well, maybe it's old hat to some of you but I did not know that the good ol' Remember app can sync tasks to my Outlook.com account!

I do not remember this option in Gmail, and when I check account settings now, I don't see it there either. But Outlook can handle email, contacts, calendar and tasks.
I tried it just now and it seems to happen pretty much immediately.

It's also a good way to have any public holiday calendars show up as well.

Email Service for BBOS

Been a BBer since 2011 when I owned my first BB device -- Blackberry 9000.

Stop using BlackBerry as primary device since Jan 2018 because the company announced EOF for Priv.

Now I'm using iPhone X as my primary device along with a Blackberry Passport / Z30 as business phone for only Email, Text and Phone call.

I noticed that the BBOS EOF is the end of this year which is Dec, 2019. I just wonder if the Email service is still available or been supported on BBOS after its EOF?

Thanks for help and patience in advanced.

I have an idea, it might be a good one or it might be a bad one. But here it is.
What if, we the BB10 users, bring back the full or partially support for BlackBerry as we used to know by paying a fee or a subscription and that money goes to bringing back to life the blackberry services like in the old days ( like when the bb10 was launched). ‎Let's try and offer a big support for the Canadian company to re-enable the full BB10 with updates, services and all that this platform should offer as it was intended to.
I'm in for 5 or 10 USD per month (or EUR). There are a lot of bb users who will embrace this idea and if only 40% out of that, let's say 1 mil users, will pay a subscription, theat will generate 40mil USD per month to keep the bb heart pumping for a long time to come. Who's with me. If this works we might see new BB10 devices.
Let get the crackberry support for this.
‎‎This should be a pride and joy for all blackberry users out there.

How to make a apps backup? Does Sachesi work?

$

So used to making backups it seems incredible that i have to ask this question but I have been trying to make a Blackberry Q5 backup copy and I can not do it effectively.
I especially want to make a individual apps copy that I have downloaded on Blackberry World on .BAR format, although if this is not possible I can make do it with a full backup copy .
I have read several post on Crackberry. In a post a user says that it is possible to make copies of apps.BAR with UltimateBackup from Runisoft but I read in Blackberry World and on Runisoft web that it is only possible do:

SMS & MMS
Contacts & Favorites
Contact Groups
E-mail
Phone Call Logs
Remember
Playlists
Music
Camera
Photos
Videos
Documents
Express
Downloads
Print
Recorded Voices
Misc

I do not need to make a backup copy of the previous ones. I want copy apps.BAR
I try it with Blackberry Link and after many problems (it does not recognize Blackberry ID, Device Manager does not recognize Blackberry Q5, etc, etc) I finally get it done.
By cons on Sachesi I can not back up apps. It works with the Media and Device Settings options but not with apps.
I have tried it with several computers and operating systems:

Windows Xp:
Sachesi 1.9.9 = The program is reset when you have copied 1.5 GiB.
Sachesi 2.0 = (last one works for me in xp) Idem.

Windows 10:
Sachesi 2.0.2 for XP that does not work in XP = The program stops when it has made 4,299,740 KiB
Sachesi 2.0.2 normal version = Idem it stops at 4,299,740 KiB
I have NTFS, it is possible that backup app already made this done correctly but the program previously says that the copy takes 8 GiB.
Sachesi 2.0.3 = It does not boot says vcruntime140.dll does not exist
(I have C ++ 2015 & .Net)
Sachesi 2.0.4 = This does not recognize Blackberry Q5 on USB port.

Copies with Sachesi have the format file.bbb
and the copies with Blackberry Link also have format.bbb, when I open with 7z the Sachesi.bbb copy appears a single file.TAR that is not possible to unzip. By cons, when I open with 7z a file Blackberry Link.bbb appear several files .app.data & .app.bin

I have these doubts:
Is it possible to extract apps.BAR?
Is it possible to backup with Blackberry Link and restore them with Sachesi or vice versa?
Is it possible to restore the copy with Blackberry Link offline?
What is Blackberry Link Application data copy?
(unzip file.app.data)
What is the option "also make copy of binary data?
(unzip file.app.bin)

Is there any chance we can sync Remember with Outlook OneNote?

Strange occurrence requiring ground zero rebuild

$

As with Windows, though less often, every so often my BB10 just needs a ground zero rebuild. Two or three times since 2013 - not a bad record! - the available space has inexplicably reduced to zero. (I've seen this reported by others.) But more often the phone just "feels" clogged or slow or congested or simply untidy and it's time for a Fresh Start.
However last week all installed apps just failed - Kindle, Maps, Audible, .., whatever. Pressing any app icon threw the screen to an agonisingly slow progress bar that on completion reverted to the Home screen. Using Device Manager -> Storage, every single one showed "Data 0Mb" and the "Clear Data" button greyed out.
I couldn't identify cause; or any cure beyond a rebuild. Any insights?!

LED Color Notification Configuration (Warning: Probably a Stupid Question)

$

Hi All :

Yes, I'm one of those dinosaurs still using a Passport as a daily driver. With virtually no apps and an ever decreasing list of internet sites now available, I do feel very safe from hackers. Thank you BB10 !

Anyway, I'm trying to configure the LED to display red for email and green for text messages. I've gone through the Notification setting and thought I'd cracked it but it still blinks red no matter the setting. I've even tried two third part LED apps, but they seem to be tied to apps and not to the basic BB10 functions.

Anyone have any ideas ?

VoLTE Status of BB10 Phones on US Carriers?

$

Hello,

I have been trying to determine whether there is any BB10 phone + US carrier/network combination that reliably supports VoLTE at the present time.

The phones I am most interested in at the moment are the Classic; the Q10; and the Passport.

After spending a considerable amount of time searching for answers online, the only seemingly clear and definitive information that I have come away with is that Verizon does not support VoLTE for the Q10 (and that said model will therefore no longer work on said network after the final day of this calendar year). Beyond that, any info I was able to find was less-than-clear and conclusive (at best), and often outdated.

As for networks and carriers, while I am most interested in AT&T at the moment, I would welcome information about any of the others in the US market, including the various MVNOs.

Also, if I have properly understood a number of the posts and articles that I read while searching for answers on the topic of VoLTE, they seemed to me to be saying the following. That when it comes to voice calling, only VoLTE (and, I would think, WiFi calling as well) can properly be considered 4G; that any telephone call not connected through VoLTE can be no more than some glorified, enhanced implementation of what is, in reality, 3G technology. Would I be correct in that understanding?

I would be grateful to anyone who could provide any relevant info on any of these questions.

Thank you for taking the time to read through my post.

I cant access my email, contacts or calendar anymore on any of my mobile devices anymore , mainly BB10 devices. Started approximately 1 week ago. Only seems to be effecting any non-Microsoft hardware or software trying to access account. All the devices went down at the same time. This is what I've tries so far:

• Factory reset devices , no change
• Remove and reinstall accounts, no change
• Contact M.S., no change
• Contact Blackberry, no change
• Tried a different account on the same devices(worked)

Devices used:

• BB10 latest version, Passport, Leap and Z-30 O/S supported through end of 2019
• Em-Client (PC Software), connection error
• Outlook 2016 (PC Software) works after password install but won’t remember

Anybody have any ideas

I understand that BlackBerry World is shutting down at the end of the year. I'm just wondering whether CB will make CB10 available as a .bar file to download when BBW goes.

Pairing a tablet with BlackBerry 10?

$

Hi all,

So I am looking at what the future may hold with the EOL of BlackBerry 10 in the next 6 months and I am looking at making arrangements.

I may just continue to use my devices for what I normally just do, calls, texts, emails and some light web surfing. If I do need any additional apps, I might just pair it with a small Samsung tablet I won in a tournament.

The question I have, what are the steps or the procedure in terms of creating a hot spot or tethering or just using the Internet data from my mobile phone onto the tablet? I might not be using the proper terms here but I want to have my tablet connected to the phone for using the Internet and Android apps? The old BlackBerry bridge style combo that worked well with the Playbook is what I'm looking for.

Many thanks in advance

Carriers list with Blackberry 10.3.3 available.

Is there a web page where I can consult a carriers list that have updated to 10.3.3 to choose them on Sachesi?

Official link download autoloader 10.3.3

I have saved a link to access official Blackberry downloads but now clicking on each device no longer appear.
https://www.blackberry.com/us/en/sup...heckforupdates
Which link download official Blackberry 10.3.3 autoloader?
I need for Q5, Q10, Classic and Passport.
I also have an unofficial link that does not work either.
OS for BlackBerry | Mobile Operating System
And another unofficial link that the download does work.
https://bbviet.info/
Although I would prefer to find the official link.
Z30 autoloader works in Classic?
Or which autoloader is for the Classic?
I have the same doubt on Sachesi.
